Oxana Fedorova and Dmitry Galikhin: "Tchaikovsky - our genetic code

International competition for contemporary composers "Tchaikovsky - heritage" opened the second season. About the repertoire for children, chamber music and the birth of new works, told radio Sputnik TV presenter Oksana Fedorova and Opera singer Dmitry Galikhin.

The second edition of the contest of contemporary composers dedicated to the idea of returning to childhood. The selection Committee has already identified the participants in the second round, which will take place on 7 December in the International Union of musical figures.

"Understanding the classical art is not given to everyone and does not come immediately. But in many people's lives there comes a time when you want to touch the real music. On the ninth of December in the Rachmaninov hall of Moscow state Conservatory named after P. I. Tchaikovsky will take place the ceremony of awarding the winners. Big children's choir named after V. S. Popov at the gala concert for the first time will perform excerpts from "Children's album" by Tchaikovsky in a special adaptation. And this performance promises to be truly spectacular," he told the TV host, President of the charity Fund "Hasten to do good!" Oksana Fedorova.

"If Pushkin is our literary cultural code, the Tchaikovsky is a musical cultural code of Russia. We are all brought up on Russian classical music and, of course, Tchaikovsky's works, carry this code at the genetic level. The name of the contest-festival "Tchaikovsky-the legacy" not only inspires, but encourages responsibility for what we do," he shared in an interview with radio Sputnik tenor, the President of Fund of support of national culture named after P.
